Parks Ranch - Eddy County, NM

Entrance render
Zoomed in section of the cave map. The modeled intersection is shown in the middle.

Description

Parks Ranch Cave is one of the longest gypsum caves in the United States at over 20 km in length. For a geophysical research project I was asked to 3D model an intersection of the cave to get an accurate volume estimate to compare the geophysical estimates with. Because of this, the model was never cleaned up, and no low resolution version exists.

We chose to 3D model a larger intersection of the cave around station B63 as it was a larger room and was nearer to an entrance. The intersection is where Selkirk's Passage intersects the "B" survey.
